Veterans
Honoring service through meaningful recognition and compassionate care.
We Honor our Veterans
Talbot Hospice endeavors to provide quality end-of-life care for all Veterans and honors our veterans through special recognition visits that include a ceremony, a hand-sewn patriotic quilt and pillow, a pin, and the reading of a commemorative poem. When a Veteran is served in Hospice House, a quilted banner representing their branch of service is displayed on the door. These efforts reflect our deep appreciation for the sacrifices Veterans have made and our commitment to supporting them with dignity and respect at the end of life.
Veteran Recognition Ceremonies
Talbot Hospice honors our veterans through special recognition ceremonies that celebrate their service with dignity and gratitude. These meaningful moments provide comfort, appreciation, and a lasting tribute to those who served our country.
Become a Vet-to-Vet Volunteer
Talbot Hospice offers a Vet-to-Vet volunteer program where Veterans have the opportunity to support and connect with fellow Veterans at the end of life. Through shared experiences and understanding, these volunteers provide meaningful companionship, comfort, and respect to those who have served.
